Emerald continues with her diary

It’s Christmas time! Lets face it, everyone gets excited about Christmas. It isn’t just the presents it’s the whole day where you have the big roast meal, (that my mum would spend hours in the kitchen preparing) and the nice festive cheer from everyone you meet-even strangers. Easter, Birthdays, Halloween, they’re nothing in comparison to Christmas. I haven’t asked for much this year, I’d prefer just to spend a peaceful day with my family, which in itself is an oddity.

Stoke Ferry 1-5 Thurton & Ashby

1st Half

Stoke started the game slightly the better team and should have taken the lead with two good chances, only to see Thurton awarded a penalty for a harsh hand ball from a Thurton cross, that was put away with ease. Stoke scored the equalizer in the 40 min with Terry beating the offside to cross, only for Chris’s shot to be blocked by the keeper, Paul stepped in and scored. A bad mistake at the back let in Thurton to score a easy chance

Report on November activites and a summary of 2010 events


November is our AGM month and some new members were elected. The annual subscription remains at £17.50. Teas each month will now be £1 and the raffle will be 50p for a strip. We are going to publish the programme when possible so that people will be aware of what they are missing. Why don’t you join on 5th January 2011?
